Fabio Bezuti
Mr. Bezuti began studying music in his native city of, São Paulo, Brazil. He currently resides in Princeton, New Jersey where he is finishing his master of arts degree in piano accompanying at Westminster Choir College.
From 2002 to 2005, at the Municipal Theather in São Paulo, Mr. Bezuti performed two series of concerts as a pianist: Vesperais Líricas (Opera), and Concertos do Meio-Dia (Chamber Music). At the same theater he performed in productions of Stravinsky’s Oedipus Rex, and Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann.
At the Amazonas Opera Festival in 2005, Mr. Bezuti was the pianist for the production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle, working with in the operas Die Walküre and Das Rheingold, and also Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
In 2004, Mr. Bezuti conducted Lennox Berkeley’s opera A Dinner Engagemant at the São Pedro Theater in São Paulo and Ernest Mahle’s opera Maroquinhas Fru-Fru in the Summer Music Festival in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, where he has played for studio opera classes since 2003.
In 2003, at the Santa Cruz Theater in São Paulo, he was the music director and pianist of Charlie Worrinen’s opera song book, Haroun and the Sea of Stories, based upon the book by Salman Rushdie.
Mr. Bezuti has played as the principal pianist for International Opera Theater’s yearly production of Wild Things Whirligig at the Rosenbach Museum since 2008.
