“The Children of Fatima & The Miracle of the Sun”

This Prayer for Peace celebrates the 100th anniversary of the apparition to the three children in Fatima Lúcia dos Santos (age 10), Jacinta Marto (age 7) and Francisco Marto (age 9) .

IOT is looking for 3 young sopranos to play the roles of the children. We are also seeking 8 young sopranos to sing the roles of 8 Virtues.

All young singers selected will participate in a training program in Philadelphia and then in Italy.

Citta’ della Pieve is the site of the first Shrine to The Madonna of Fatima in Italy. It was Father Luigi Perriccioli, clergyman in Citta’ della Pieve, who, in 1942, dedicated himself to the construction of this magnificent shrine- first in all of Italy.

Italian Maestro Antonio Fava, world renowned Commedia dell’Arte Maestro, comes to Philly for master classes: February 8-12 & 15-19, 2016. Actors and singers from throughout the world will participate.

14th and 15th world premiere Italian productions in Citta’ della Pieve, Italy in collaboration with World Shakespeare Project

  • I Fiori di Ofelia e il Sacro Femminile: Il sacrificio femminile prima e dopo Shakespeare (Ophelia’s Flowers and The Sacred Feminine: Female Self Sacrifice Before and After Shakespeare) This piece addresses the most important unfinished business of the 21st century; The RIghts of Women and Girls. World premiere cantata- fully staged and costumed with harp accompaniment to celebrate 400th anniversary of death of W. Shakespeare.“I Fior di Ofelia” is a musical work through which young girls might comprehend the deeply embedded cultural assumptions related to female suffering that support the idea that pain constitutes a natural element of womanhood-

  • Un Sogno di Una Notte di Mezza Estate (based on “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”). World premiere opera with orchestra, fully staged and costumed.
